
UK Construction Week event returns to Birmingham
The award-winning event is returning to Birmingham NEC in October. This marks the first major live construction industry event for two years.
Every day of the event will have a specific theme. Day one focuses on sustainability, while day two looks at inclusion, equality, and diversity. Day three caps off the event looking at building safety, social value, and quality.
The industry event offers attendees hours of free access to product demonstrations and CPD. Areas covered include the latest MMC options, new digital technology, and revised regulations. The event also offers news on brand-new suppliers and building materials coming soon to the UK market.
Exhibitors confirmed for UKCW include HS2, Google, Ford, Hanson Plywood, and the Construction Innovation Hub, among others. Each enterprise is showcasing new product launches and upcoming innovations.
Keynote presentations will feature on UKCW’s mainstage. Speakers booked include heads from the Construction Products Association, the Construction Leadership Council, and the Sustainable Energy Association.
A selection of seminars entitled “Future of Construction” will also take place. The new series examines how the past 18 months have changed the building industry. It focuses on how this change can be a positive force for the sector.
UKCW’s Digital Construction Hub onsite will feature over 30 presentations. These involve interactive workshops exploring next generation design tools and practical sessions. Topics include the risks of legal disputes and how to mitigate them.
