Kingfisher Court is an existing, ten storey, student residential building situated in the centre of Huddersfield.
The building is a steel frame with concrete metal deck floors. The external wall construction comprises a cavity wall system with stone in areas and aluminium composite material (ACM) cladding panels in other areas.
BuildzoneUK Ltd has been appointed to remove and replace the unsafe and combustible elements of the external facade with suitable non-combustible material. This includes the replacement of all cladding (ACM cladding panels and composite cladding) and fire barriers etc.
This project forms part of the UK Government’s multibillion-pound intervention to replace all unsafe cladding on high-rise residential buildings throughout the United Kingdom.
