Project Description
TRANSPORT DEPOT
Tappins Coaches
This working bus depot included a bus yard, maintenance facilities, tachograph and cleaning provisions, suffered severe damage when a fire ripped through the building.
As a result of the fire, significant remedial and refurbishment works were necessary. These works included cleaning all smoke and oil damaged materials, alongside substantial renovations to the building’s main structure.
BuildzoneUK had to remove the damaged walls and the roofing structure entirely. Then the work began on the construction of new internal offices, extensive mechanical and electrical installation, decorations and finally, the floor coverings.
Temporary accommodation was provided for all staff and operatives while Tappins Coaches continued to operate during the course of the works. Daily meetings were carried out to co-ordinate the works to ensure safe and uninterrupted operations.
All work was completed successfully and to the highest standard within 10 weeks.
